Americans for Prosperity and the Competitive Enterprise Institute have joined consumer and taxpayer groups in urging the Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction to make real and meaningful cuts in agriculture subsidies, and not " illusory cuts that simply transition farmers into other costly programs. The groups specifically speak out against "inclusion of the Dairy Security Act that is a continuation of failed dairy programs."
